2008 Retreat at University of Houston
8-9 March 2008
You are cordially invited to join us for the 2008 Institute For Biomedical Imaging Retreat at the University of Houston
PGH 232, U. of Houston
The Institute for Biomedical Imaging Sciences (IBIS) is pleased to invite all members to the 2008 retreat. This retreat will be hosted by the University of Houston on March 8 and 9, 2008.
This retreat will provide a venue to present and discuss the progress of current seed grant awardees, to form new contacts and collaborations, to introduce new members, to provide a valuable forum for discussing issues in research of key areas, and and furthermore to discuss the pathway towards funding. A preliminary schedule is available here: 2008 Retreat Schedule
We would like to encourage all IBIS members, and particularly all members who are considering applying for a 2008 seed grant to attend. Membership is required to attend.
Membership in IBIS comes at no cost and allows members to easily keep up to date with IBIS news, events and funding and mentoring opportunities. If you are interested in becoming a member, simply email simon@math.uh.edu with your request. Please include a CV and a short (3-5 lines) summary of your research interests.
Registration is available here. Please register as soon as possible so that we know what numbers to expect, but at the least register before the 29th of February so that accurate transportation and meal orders may be placed. If you have any special dietary (or other) requirements, please indicate this in the Special Requests box. Likewise, we will appreciate your prompt notification of accommodation requests (in the box provided) from the Cornell participants. Travel expenses for Cornell members will be reimbursed up to $800 with receipts.
